On April 30, 2025, Margalida Prohens, President of the Balearic Islands, officially opened the 41st edition of the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS), marking a historic milestone with a record 304 exhibitors. The event, held at Palma’s Moll Vell and the newly expanded Club de Mar, runs through May 3 and showcases over 600 vessels, including approximately 100 superyachts exceeding 24 meters in length.

This year’s significant addition is the Superyacht New Build Hub at Club de Mar, featuring around ten custom-built sailing yachts over 40 meters and eleven land-based exhibitors specialising in luxury yacht services and equipment. Visitors can traverse between the two exhibition areas via a five-minute shuttle boat ride, enhancing the overall experience.

The 2024 edition of PIBS had an economic impact of €20.1 million, attracting over 28,000 visitors and boosting off-season tourism. Notably, attendees spent an average of €435 per day, significantly higher than the €176 average for April tourists, underscoring the event’s contribution to the local economy.

Organised by the Agència de Desenvolupament Regional de les Illes Balears (ADR Balears) and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA), PIBS continues to solidify its status as a premier event in the Mediterranean yachting calendar.
