The Balearic Water and Environmental Quality Agency (ABAQUA) has commenced the tender process for drafting projects aimed at the comprehensive renovation of the main sanitation network in Santa Eulària des Riu. This initiative, approved by ABAQUA’s Board of Directors on April 29, 2025, encompasses the modernisation of eleven wastewater pumping stations located in Es Canar, S’Argamassa, Siesta, Cala Llenya, and the central area of Santa Eulària.
The project plans to replace existing asbestos-cement pipelines with more durable and environmentally friendly materials, ensuring the infrastructure meets both current and future demands. Additionally, advanced control and management systems will be implemented, including emergency power supplies and fault alert mechanisms, to enhance the reliability and operational safety of the sanitation system.
