IMAS Continues Engagement with Social Entities to Improve Services for People with Disabilities
During the meeting, President Sánchez emphasised the long-standing relationship with ASPROM, which currently manages a total of 58 service agreements with IMAS. These include 10-day centre placements, 18 supervised housing placements, 20 housing support services, and 10 services for habilitation and occupational therapy. These resources provide support, care, and promote personal autonomy for individuals with physical disabilities in vulnerable situations.
“At IMAS, we are committed to standing by organisations like ASPROM that tirelessly work to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Collaboration with the third sector is not just necessary—it is strategic for building a fairer, more equal, and inclusive society,” stated Guillermo Sánchez.
For her part, Island Director Maria Francesca Rigo highlighted the joint effort between public institutions and social organizations to expand resources and adapt services to the real needs of users, always promoting the highest level of autonomy possible.
With this visit, IMAS reaffirms its commitment to a policy of proximity, active listening, and effective collaboration with Mallorca’s social third sector.
