The inclusion of more innovative and operationally relevant courses boosts participation among Local Police officers

The number of applications for continuous training courses offered by the Government of the Balearic Islands for Local Police officers has surged significantly during the first quarter of 2025. Requests jumped from 49 in 2024 to 701 this year. These 701 applications for the first quarter represent 63% of the total 1,113 requests received throughout all of 2024. Furthermore, EBAP has reported that an additional 569 applications have already been submitted for the second half of this year, exceeding last year’s total.

EBAP, which has expanded its training offer upon the proposal of the Department of Security and Emergency Training, welcomes this strong response. It validates the effectiveness of the new training model introduced during the current legislative term. This model has enabled the development of a more comprehensive, innovative, and appealing training plan, tailored to the real needs of its target audience.
