The Consell de Mallorca, through its digital platform Mallorca Activa, has launched its 2025 training program with a notably successful outcome: a total of 421 registrations were recorded in the initial round of online courses. This initiative is targeted at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMES), freelancers, and entrepreneurs located in municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, to reinforce their digital transformation and professional development.
The courses, delivered via a dedicated virtual campus, represent the beginning of the 2025 academic cycle, which will extend through the end of the year. The first set of eight training modules has focused on priority areas such as business marketing, Microsoft Word, gardening, accounting, business planning, cultural project design, basic life support, and drinking and wastewater analysis.

Mallorca Activa
This first round of enrollment represents one of the most successful training starts since the platform’s inception. Since its launch in February 2021, Mallorca Activa has carried out over 200 training actions, consolidating itself as a benchmark in free professional education for the island’s business ecosystem. The platform applies a flexible and modern methodology, adapted to the specific learning needs of its users, thereby ensuring high completion and success rates.
Dual Model: Online Training and On-Site Support
The digital offering is complemented by a comprehensive program of in-person workshops, launched at the start of the year and held across various municipalities. These sessions address strategic topics such as digital marketing, social media, artificial intelligence, and the use of WhatsApp Business for commerce, among others. Since the start of the in-person training line in January 2023, more than 500 businesses have participated in these workshops.
Over the past four years, the platform has reached more than 10,000 registrations, with a significant increase in 2024, when enrollments surpassed 3,300 participants, compared to an annual average of 2,100–2,500 in prior years.
Upcoming Enrollment Period Opens June 9
The second round of online courses for 2025 will begin its registration period on June 9, closing on June 22. The training modules available during this period will include:
- Business Management and Finance
- Ecodesign of Products and Services
- Excel 2019
- Socio-Healthcare Intervention in Institutions
- Planning, Organisation, and Supervision of Events
- Visual Merchandising and Window Display Design

All self-paced courses are fully online, asynchronous, and built around high-quality content, regularly updated to meet the latest demands of the labour market. This model allows learners to progress at their own pace, providing a flexible and efficient pathway to skill development.
Commitment to Local Economic Development
Mallorca Activa’s training strategy is specifically designed to respond to the training demands of local municipalities. Both the online and in-person sessions are announced through official channels, including the platform’s website and social media, as well as through local town councils, with sufficient advance notice to promote widespread participation.
Through this initiative, the Consell de Mallorca continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering economic resilience and innovation across the island, supporting businesses in their digital transition and contributing to the sustainable growth of Mallorca’s business sector.
