Sixteen Artists from the Mediterranean Reflect on the Concept of Travel Through Various Artistic Techniques

The exhibition will be open until June 15, with its inauguration on May 13 at 7:00 PM.

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, through the Directorate-General for Culture, presents for the second time in Mallorca the group exhibition “The Journeys of the Balearics.” The exhibition can be visited at the exhibition hall of the Archive of the Kingdom of Mallorca, in Palma, until June 15, 2025. The opening will take place on May 13 at 7:00 PM.

The Travelling Exhibition “The Journeys of the Balearics” Arrives in Palma, at the Archive of the Kingdom of Mallorca

The exhibition, organised in collaboration with the Baleària Foundation and the Archive of the Kingdom of Mallorca, showcases the works of sixteen artists from different Mediterranean regions reflecting on travel. The artworks explore movement, discovery, and cultural exchange through diverse and artistic perspectives, using a wide range of techniques and formats.

“The Journeys of the Balearics” is a travelling exhibition that has visited various venues, starting in Ciutadella de Menorca, at the old church of Sant Josep, in May 2024. It has since been shown in Es Pedreguer and Porreres, and will conclude its tour at the Revellín Museum in Ceuta in June 2025, thanks to the collaboration with the Autonomous City of Ceuta.

The participating artists are:

From Mallorca: Josep M. Alaminos, Jorge Azri, Cris Pink, María Puerto Fullana, Mateu Bauzà, and Toni Salom
From Menorca: Lluís Febrer Martí and Marga Pons
From Ibiza: Aphon Hengcharoen and Patricia Boned
From the Valencian Community: Carmen Ruano, Esperanza Asensi, Nina Llorens, and Tardor
From Ceuta: Sandra Ávila
From Melilla: María León Buendía

The exhibition can be visited on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
