Spain and Colombia Strengthen Cooperation on Youth and Childhood
Currently, both Spain and Colombia are processing legislative proposals in their respective parliaments to regulate these environments and promote digital literacy.
In addition, the agreement seeks to promote international mechanisms in coordination with organisations such as the Ibero-American Youth Organisation (OIJ) and support children affected by armed conflict in Colombia through protection programs and personnel training.
The agreement will also help promote initiatives supporting youth inclusion in decision-making processes and community development, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
Minister Rego highlighted the agreement’s value, stating that it “strengthens the ties between both countries and consolidates a common agenda based on equity, inclusion, and the development of new generations.” She also emphasised the importance of the political participation of youth and children in both nations.
