The Eivissa and Formentera Conservatory of Music and Dance Launches New Program for 6- and 7-Year-Olds
The classes, which will be taught by conservatory faculty, will last one hour per week and will be offered in both Eivissa and Formentera. In Eivissa, four groups are planned (two for 6-year-olds and two for 7-year-olds), while Formentera will host two groups, one for each age group. Each group will have a maximum of 15 students.
With this program, the Conservatory responds to the growing social demand for early artistic education, following the example of other autonomous communities in Spain. In addition to fostering interest in music and dance, the course will contribute to the development of artistic skills and help introduce the various musical and dance specialties offered at the Conservatory, aiming to balance enrollment distribution across disciplines.
The main objective is to enrich children’s emotional connection to music and dance through singing, movement, listening, and their first contact with instruments.
Enrollment will be free of charge. To participate, families must register and the children must pass an entrance assessment.
