Over a thousand candidates sit the Consell de Mallorca’s civil service exam for General Administration Administrative positions

On Saturday, May 24, the Consell de Mallorca held the civil service exams for the General Administration Administrative category. The test took place at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and saw the participation of 1,116 candidates, competing for 20 positions within the island’s institution.

These are the first civil service exams for the General Administration category to be called by the Consell de Mallorca since 2006. The recruitment corresponds to the 2021 and 2022 public employment offers, and the positions are part of the replacement rate. The call was jointly organized by the island institution and the Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs (IMAS). Together, they are offering a total of 80 positions.

The previous Saturday, also at the UIB, the first exam in this round of public recruitment took place, for the category of General Administration Technician. A total of 353 candidates attended out of 585 who were called. On that occasion, 22 positions were offered, and the exams were conducted without incident.

The Minister of Finance and Public Function, Rafel Bosch, stated that “the civil servants and workers of the Consell are the true driving force of the island institution, as they provide the best service and care to the people of Mallorca.”

The final exam in this recruitment process will take place on Saturday, June 7, for the category of General Administration Administrative Assistant, with 1,692 applicants called to compete for 38 positions.
