Up to €6,000 per project to support citizen participation and sustainability initiatives on the island
The Island Council of Menorca, through the Menorca Biosphere Reserve Agency, has officially launched the 2025 call for grants to support volunteer initiatives, with a total budget of €75,000. This funding is part of the Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Council and targets non-profit organisations promoting sustainability and environmental stewardship on the island.
The main goal of these grants is to encourage civic engagement in land management, strengthen local organisations, and preserve the natural and cultural values of the Menorca Biosphere Reserve.

Call for Volunteer Project Grants in Menorca’s Biosphere Reserve Now Open
“Supporting local associations and enabling their work is also a way of caring for the land. Through these actions, we not only improve spaces and services, but also build a collective awareness that is essential for the future of the Biosphere Reserve,” stated Simón Gornés, Minister of Environment and Biosphere Reserve.

- Limit per entity: up to 3 applications
- Deadline to apply: June 19, 2025 (inclusive)

- Restoration and improvement of paths and natural areas

- Waste reduction initiatives
- Actions to promote universal accessibility in natural spaces
