Asphalting Work on the Sant Josep Roundabout Will Be Carried Out at Night

On each of the scheduled days, initial preparatory work will begin at 8:00 p.m., followed by asphalting work starting at 10:00 p.m. and continuing until completion each night. On Wednesday, June 18, the first intermediate layer will be applied; on Thursday, June 19, the second layer; and on Monday, June 23, the final surface layer.

Partial road closures are expected during the works, and alternating traffic flow will be implemented to maintain vehicle access.

This roundabout is being built at one of the two entrances to the town of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, specifically at kilometre 11.9 of the EI-700 road, the access route from Ibiza. The project is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. With a construction budget of €833,383.62, the roundabout will eliminate a currently dangerous intersection connecting the road with Avinguda Diputat Josep Ribas. This area hosts several key municipal facilities, such as the Urgell School, the municipal swimming pool, and the football field. The new roundabout will significantly improve safety for both drivers and pedestrians by reducing vehicle speeds at this busy point.
