Enrollment open until Friday, June 27
A total of 5,591 children have secured a place in an educational centre for the first cycle of early childhood education (ages 0-3) during the 2025–2026 school admission process. This represents a significant level of demand coverage, as a total of 6,468 applications were submitted.
Of these, 76.40% of the students were admitted to the centre listed as their first choice, while 8.73% were accepted into their second choice. This means that over 85% of applicants have already been assigned a place. The remaining 877 applications without an assigned spot may still opt for available vacancies.

📝 Late Applications
Once the enrollment period ends (June 27), the General Directorate for Educational Planning and Management will begin calling families on the waiting list to offer them vacant spots.
As a new feature this year, late applications will be scored every two weeks, rather than on a first-come, first-served basis. This new system, which can be managed entirely online, aims to ensure fairer and more equitable placement.
🎓 Educational Commitment and Free Access
The Ministry of Education and Universities reiterates its commitment to the education of children aged 0 to 3. To support this, at the beginning of the 2024–2025 school year, the Ministry extended free tuition to all courses of the first cycle of early childhood education in publicly funded centres. This measure aims to guarantee access to education from early childhood.
The Ministry also continues working to increase the number of available places for 0 to 3-year-olds throughout the Balearic Islands. The goal is to meet growing family demand and promote work-life balance.
