Up to €36,000 to recognise the effort and academic excellence of students in the Balearic Islands

The Ministry of Education and Universities of the Government of the Balearic Islands has opened the call for applications for the Awards for High School Students in the Balearic Islands with Excellent Academic Achievement for the 2024–2025 school year. This initiative aims to recognise the merit and effort of students with outstanding academic performance and to promote educational excellence in the post-compulsory stage.

Education Department Announces Awards for High School Students in the Balearic Islands with Excellent Academic Achievement for the 2024–2025 School Year
The total budget allocated for these awards is €36,000, which will be distributed equally among all students who meet the requirements and have obtained an average grade equal to or higher than the cutoff mark established by the Administration (with a maximum of 150 awardees). If the number of students with a grade equal to or above 9.00 is fewer than 150, the funds will be divided among them.
To be eligible, students must:
– Have completed their entire high school education at public or private schools in the Balearic Islands during the 2024–2025 school year.
– Be selected based on a standardised average grade, as outlined in the official call.
– Not be subject to any disqualifications under the Subsidies Act and must be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.
Applications must be submitted exclusively online via the Electronic Office of the CAIB, no later than July 29, 2025.
Through this call, the Government aims to encourage commitment to academic studies, recognise the dedication of students who strive for excellence, and foster a culture of effort and merit within the educational system of the Balearic Islands.
