The Department of Economic Promotion and Local Development aims to recognise business and entrepreneurial excellence across the island.
The Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Island Council) has announced the third edition of the Awards for Exemplary Practices in Social Responsibility for the year 2025. This initiative seeks to spotlight companies and entrepreneurial projects that actively contribute to building a fairer, more equitable, and prosperous Mallorca by integrating social responsibility into their daily operations.
With a total endowment of €50,000, these awards are open to self-employed individuals, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as entrepreneurial projects that demonstrate commitment to improving the island’s economic, social, labour, and environmental conditions. In addition, an honorary award will be granted to a large company as an inspiring benchmark in the field of social responsibility.

Mallorca Island Council Launches 3rd Edition of the Awards for Exemplary Practices in Social Responsibility
Pilar Amate, the Councillor for Economic Promotion and Local Development, emphasised:
“Through these awards, the Consell de Mallorca gives recognition to those in the private sector or entrepreneurial space who focus on people’s well-being—especially that of workers—who are committed to inclusion and sustainability, and who contribute to economic growth and social cohesion on our island.”
Each of the following categories is endowed with a €10,000 prize:
- Award for an Entrepreneurial Project
- Award for Exemplary Practice by a Self-Employed Individual
- Award for Exemplary Practice by a Microenterprise
- Award for Exemplary Practice by a Small Enterprise
- Award for Exemplary Practice by a Medium Enterprise
An additional honorary award will be granted to a large company for exemplary practices. Although this award has no monetary prize, it serves as a model of how to integrate social and environmental values into business strategy.
