The Department of Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports of the Consell de Mallorca has presented a new edition of “Nits d’estiu a Raixa” (Summer Nights at Raixa), which this year will feature five musical concerts held between June 28 and August 23 at the public estate of Raixa, located in the municipality of Bunyola.

Second Vice President and Minister for the Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, presented the 2025 cultural program for “Nits d’estiu a Raixa” this Monday, accompanied by the Island Director of Environment, Luis Rubí. The event was also attended by some of the featured performers for this summer’s concerts at the estate: singer Marga Pocoví, conductor of the Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Marratxí Pep Corbalán, and conductor of the Santanyí Municipal Band Pedro Vallbona.

Raixa to Host Five Free Musical Evenings in a New Edition of “Nits d’estiu,” Opening This Saturday with the Santanyí Municipal Band

Pedro Bestard stated that “the goal of this event is to open up Raixa and its historic gardens to the public, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy a musical performance in a spectacular setting of great heritage value for all Mallorcans.”

“With these musical evenings, we are turning Raixa into a cultural hub and summer night meeting place, where music, landscape, and heritage come together,” added the Environment Minister, who also emphasised the department’s strong support for local Mallorcan talent and artists from the island.

Musical Evenings at Raixa

This year, a cultural program has been organised focused on musical events, with five free concerts open to all audiences. All concerts will begin at 9:00 PM.

  • The first concert will take place this Saturday, June 28, with the Santanyí Municipal Band, conducted by Pedro Vallbona, offering an unforgettable musical evening.
  • The second concert, scheduled for Saturday, July 12, will feature Marga Pocoví and Biel Tous performing with the Oasis Orchestra. This show will include original songs and popular cover versions that invite the audience to dance.
  • The third event, on July 19, will showcase Tomeu Penya Íntim. The legendary Mallorcan singer-songwriter and music icon will present a heartfelt, intimate concert format.
  • On July 26, the a cappella group O’Veus—six friends united by music—will perform a varied repertoire that blends different musical styles. Their concert will take the audience on a journey through the most iconic contemporary popular songs.
  • The final concert will be held on August 23, featuring the Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Marratxí, conducted by Pep Corbalán. Attendees will enjoy the excitement and talent of its young musicians, aged between 15 and 23.
