Ibexposa uses design as a tool to highlight products made across the islands

A total of seventy-two companies have already taken part in the Ibexposa Local program, promoted by the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands (ADR Balears). The program’s objective is to create display spaces for local products from the Balearic Islands, with the aim of increasing their visibility and appeal, thereby enhancing their competitiveness.

This morning, the Minister of Business, Employment, and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, visited the Sullerica craft beer company to present a plaque recognising its participation in the program—a plaque that will now be awarded to all businesses benefitting from Ibexposa once they complete the proposed renovation project. Also attending were Alfons Gómez, Director General of Industry and Industrial Parks, and Silvia Delgado, Manager of ADR Balears.

Ibexposa Local incorporates design as a key tool to promote the value of products made on the islands. The program is open to companies that manufacture or sell local products and have an exhibition space—whether it’s a retail store, an industrial space, or a stand for local, national, or international fairs, among others.

Through the program, companies receive personalised guidance from ADR Balears. Experts visit the site, assess its shortcomings, and propose a tailored design solution to enhance the display area where the merchandise is presented. The program also applies visual merchandising techniques, such as optimal product placement and composition studies. All these efforts aim to enhance local products by renewing, adapting, and personalising the sales space.

ADR Balears also supports the role of interior designers by promoting their added value and specific contributions, which are essential and should be integrated into a company’s strategic approach.
