The project, promoted by Enel Green Power España, SL, will cover a surface area of 118,083 m²

The Consell de Govern has agreed to declare the Son Frau and Son Nebot photovoltaic installation—promoted by Enel Green Power España, SL and located on plot 151, polygon 6 in Marratxí—as a strategic industrial project, with a total peak capacity of 15,919.20 kWp.

Son Frau and Son Nebot Photovoltaic Installation in Marratxí Declared a Strategic Industrial Project

The ground-mounted photovoltaic park will span a total area of 118,083 square meters and will consist of 23,760 solar panels, each with a capacity of 670 Wp. The project also includes an underground evacuation line of approximately 4.2 km connecting to the Ses Veles substation.

The favourable report recommending the declaration of Son Frau and Son Nebot as a strategic industrial project was approved by the Industrial Council on May 15.

The declaration is conditional upon obtaining administrative authorisation and the approval of the execution project, which must include all requirements outlined in the reports from the relevant administrative bodies and in the environmental impact assessment.

The agreement will be communicated to the project owner and the municipalities of Marratxí, Palma, and Bunyola.
