The Consell de Govern has declared the biomass thermal utilisation plant promoted by Reciclafusta SCOOP, located in plot 1,393, polygon 31 of Manacor, a strategic industrial project.

Reciclafusta Biomass Thermal Utilisation Plant Declared a Strategic Industrial Project

Specifically, the project will be dedicated to the treatment and management of wood residues, providing the sector with a more sustainable solution for waste management. Additionally, it will contribute to the decarbonization of industries that use the by-products generated.

The Industry Council approved the favourable report for the declaration of strategic industrial interest for Reciclafusta SCOOP’s biomass utilisation plant on May 15.

This designation is subject to obtaining an environmental impact statement.

The agreement will be communicated to the owner of the facility and the Manacor City Council.
