The Balearic Islands Health Service has received the award for the best public institution or body in the field of information and communication technology (ICT) security, granted by Red Seguridad, a publication specialising in cybersecurity.
The award was accepted by Raúl Lara, the Health Service’s Assistant Director of Care, accompanied by the Deputy Director of Transformation, Innovation, and Digital Health, during a ceremony held as part of the 17th Seg2: CiberSeg España – Security, Defence, and Digital Sovereignty event.

Balearic Islands Health Service Receives Award for Best Public Institution in ICT Security
It is worth noting that two years ago, the Regional Information Security Coordination was established to support all the Health Service’s management bodies in data protection and information security matters. Furthermore, in September 2023, the Sub-directorate for Transformation, Innovation, and Digital Health was created with the objective of, among others, establishing and promoting information security policies and minimum common standards under current personal data protection regulations and specific legislation on information security and cybersecurity.
