Subsidies cover the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging infrastructure
The programme is retroactively applicable from January 1 for private individuals without economic activity
The Ministry of Business, Employment and Energy has launched the call for grants under the MOVES III 2025 Programme, aimed at promoting electric mobility. The application period opened on Thursday, July 10, and will remain open until December 31, 2025, or until available funds are exhausted.

The Ministry of Business, Employment and Energy launches the MOVES III 2025 programme – Applications open from Thursday, July 10
This programme has a total budget of €9,382,064, co-financed by European funds and resources from the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE).
The call includes two lines of incentives:
- Acquisition of plug-in electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, with a budget of €7,505,651.
- Implementation of charging infrastructure, with €1,876,413 allocated.
Eligible applicants include:
- Natural persons residing in the Balearic Islands.
- Individuals or entities carrying out economic activity in the region and registered with the Census of Business Owners and Withholders of the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT).
- Homeowners’ associations.
- Industrial estate conservation entities.
- Agricultural transformation companies whose tax ID begins with “V”.
- Local entities in the Balearic Islands.
Notably, MOVES III 2025 is retroactively applicable from January 1, 2025, for private individuals without economic activity.
Additionally, this edition reintroduces a 15% income tax deduction on the purchase value of a new electric vehicle that meets the programme’s technical requirements.
Applicants may also justify their projects within a shorter timeframe than the one established in the programme guidelines. Moreover, simplified financial justification will be accepted for grants under €100,000, as outlined in the General Subsidies Law regulations.
