The President, joined by the regional ministers, celebrates progress on the 631 government programme measures

“This is how we will continue over the next two years — without deviating from our roadmap, fulfilling our promises and delivering the change that the citizens of the Balearic Islands asked for two years ago.”

The President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, has announced that 93% of the measures included in the government programme have been fulfilled during the first two years of the current legislature. The announcement was made as part of an accountability initiative promoted by the Directorate General for Coordination and Transparency, aimed at reviewing progress on the electoral commitments made ahead of the May 2023 elections.

Over this period, 93% of the 631 measures and commitments in the programme have been completed or are under execution.

“I believe this is an extremely high percentage that proves when we say we deliver on our promises, we are not using a slogan — we are stating a reality that we can substantiate,” the president stated.

In terms of implementation status:

  • 124 measures (20%) have been fully executed.
  • 415 measures (66%) have surpassed 50% completion.
  • 90 measures (14%) are between 25% and 49% completion.
  • 84 measures (13%) have been initiated but remain below 25% progress.

President Prohens reviewed the measures executed across all government departments, reaffirming the administration’s commitment:

“We will continue this way over the next two years, staying on course, delivering on our word, fulfilling our commitments and our government programme — initiative by initiative, law by law — honouring the change that the citizens of the Balearic Islands entrusted us with two years ago,” she concluded.
