The president expressed her gratitude to all the ministers, especially the new appointees, for their “courage, commitment, and capacity for dialogue.” She highlighted the role of the new Second Vice President and Minister of Presidency, Coordination of Government Action, and Local Cooperation, Antònia Estarelles, who is tasked with strengthening the government’s municipalist approach and managing immigration policies within the scope of the regional government’s competences.
She also highlighted the appointment of Sandra Fernández as Minister of Families, Social Welfare, and Care for Dependency—a figure with a long-standing connection to the third sector and to supporting vulnerable individuals—and of Cati Cabrer, the new Minister of Labour, Civil Service, and Social Dialogue, whom she has entrusted with making social dialogue a key lever for transforming the productive model of the Balearic Islands.
Additionally, Prohens praised the appointment of Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro as the new Minister of Business, the Self-Employed, and Energy, emphasising his role in strengthening support for such a key group as the self-employed, and recognising his work with measures like the zero-rate contribution scheme.
Prohens concluded by stating that this reshuffle “aims to strengthen key policies and tackle future challenges with greater resolve.”
