The meeting, chaired by the President of the Foundation, was also attended by the Government’s official representative on the Board, Secretary of State for Culture and Sports, Pedro Vidal, along with the other members of the governing body.

The agenda included several key items, such as the presentation of the 2025/2026 season program, which is expected to be diverse and innovative, a modification of the Foundation’s budget to incorporate surplus funds, and an update to the management and activity plan. Also highlighted were notable initiatives such as the project “Balcons a l’art”—starting with a proposal by Mallorcan artist Teresa Matas—, the new season’s visual identity designed by illustrator Felip Ariza, the 40th anniversary of the opera season, and new collaboration agreements with the municipalities of Manacor, Inca, and Sant Llorenç.

The Foundation’s management emphasised the importance of the support received from the Balearic Government, especially through the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) and the Ministry, particularly for in-house productions, the cultural touring circuit, co-productions, and international promotion.

The minister’s presence at the session marked the strategic and celebratory nature of the Board meeting, coinciding with the approval of a season that will serve as a reference for the Teatro Principal and for the broader cultural sector of the Balearic Islands.
