The ceremony will conclude with an exclusive flamenco concert by Yerai Cortés and the screening of the documentary The Song of Hands, directed by Spanish actress and filmmaker María Valverde and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. The film follows three deaf musicians from Venezuela as they take on the extraordinary challenge of performing Beethoven’s Fidelio in sign language, delivering a moving message about inclusion, resilience, and the transformative power of music.

Over ten days of programming —from July 25 to August 3— the AMFF has screened 84 feature films, 20 short films, and one series, 63% of them national premieres. The festival also hosted 18 free concerts, 12 talks and conferences, and 10 in‑progress project presentations, transforming Palma into a meeting point for over 300 film, music, and cultural professionals.

International talent featured this year includes Celine Song, presenting her romantic comedy Materialists; actors Tom Blyth and Russell Tovey with their Sundance‑awarded film Incógnito; filmmaker Sepideh Farsi with her poignant documentary on the Palestinian conflict Put Your Soul on Your Hand and Walk; and Italian director Andrea Segre, showcasing La grande ambizione, a portrait of political leader Enrico Berlinguer.

The national lineup brought together acclaimed Spanish filmmakers and actors such as Rodrigo Sorogoyen, Carolina Yuste, Chino Darín, Rossy de Palma, Luis Zahera, and Irene Escolar, participating both in screenings and industry discussions. The international jury, chaired by Carolina Yuste and featuring Itzan Escamilla and Edu Sola, added further prestige to the competition.

The Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest has strengthened its reputation as a multidisciplinary festival, blending cinema with live music and professional networking opportunities. Iconic locations such as Ses Voltes, Es Baluard Museu, the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation, and La Misericòrdia provide a unique cultural atmosphere in the Mediterranean context.

Supported by the Balearic Government and key private partners including Fundació Banc Sabadell, Estrella Damm, and ESCAC, the AMFF exemplifies a public‑private model that champions emerging talent and fosters dialogue between audiences and the film industry.

The closing gala, broadcast live by IB3 Television, will mark the end of an edition distinguished by its diverse programming and the festival’s solidified position as a leading European and Latin American film event in Spain’s summer cultural calendar.
