The Mallorca Council, through the Serra de Tramuntana Consortium, will allocate €550,000 to the 20 municipalities located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) on 9 August, the grant programme aims to preserve ethnological and architectural heritage, restore forest and agricultural areas, and maintain public spaces of cultural landscape interest.
The amount represents a 33% increase compared to 2024, when municipalities received €411,409. According to the Minister of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, this boost demonstrates the Council’s commitment to safeguarding the values that make the Serra unique.
