The Balearic Islands Government has authorised the Minister of Labour, Public Function and Social Dialogue to launch the “SOIB Work-Study Training for Vulnerable Groups” grant programme, with €4.5 million allocated for 2025–2028.
The initiative combines paid employment in organisations or companies with targeted training, aiming to improve employability, qualifications, and job placement for people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.

Training programmes for vulnerable groups approved with a €4.5 million budget
This call is part of the 2024 Annual Plan for the Promotion of Decent Employment, aligned with the Spanish Strategy for Employment Activation and the Balearic Islands Quality Employment Plan, and included in the 2024–2026 Regional Subsidy Strategic Plan.
Eligible applicants include third-sector social action organisations as defined in Law 3/2018 of 29 May. Grants will cover training costs, wages for participants hired under work-study contracts, and expenses for coordinators, support units, and company tutors.
