Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca has launched a public tender for the complete upgrade of signage and corporate visual identity across Mallorca’s railway network. The project has a budget of €803,395.51 (VAT included) and a maximum implementation period of nine months, aiming to modernise facilities and enhance the passenger experience.

This initiative forms part of an ongoing strategy to improve public rail transport, focused on delivering a service that is more accessible, efficient and aligned with current user needs. The renewal will strengthen station visibility, improve access identification and make passenger orientation easier both outside and inside station premises.

A prior assessment identified several shortcomings in the existing signage, including the lack of identifying elements at certain entrances, wear and damage to supports caused by time or vandalism, and the absence of a consistent visual identity throughout the network. The planned intervention addresses these issues through the implementation of a coherent and modern signage system.

The contract covers the design, supply and installation of new informational elements, the removal of damaged or outdated supports, the adaptation to the current corporate image, and an analysis of station access routes. It also includes commissioning the new system to ensure clear, visible and consistent information across the entire railway network.

Scheduled for 2026, the investment will unify visual standards, improve accessibility and reinforce the identity of the public railway system, making it easier to use for both regular passengers and new users. The tender is being processed through an open procedure, in line with transparency and competition principles, with companies able to submit bids until 31 March.
