The 21 students representing fourteen Vocational Training centres from the Balearic Islands are reaching the final stage of their participation in SpainSkills, following several days of competition held at the IFEMA exhibition centre. The Director General for Vocational Training and Educational Planning, Isabel Salas, joined the students during the final hours of the event, highlighting the institutional support for vocational excellence.
Throughout the competition, the Balearic Islands’ representatives demonstrated a high level of technical expertise and professional competence across twenty different skills, covering twelve vocational families. All participants qualified for the national phase after winning their respective categories at the most recent BalearSkills competition, held last May.

Vocational Training students from the Balearic Islands complete their participation in SpainSkills with strong national and international prospects
The official medal ceremony will take place this Saturday, with the attendance of the Minister for Education and Universities, Antoni Vera, and the Director General for Vocational Training and Educational Planning. Students awarded gold medals in their disciplines will be selected to represent Spain at the international competitions WorldSkills in Shanghai in 2026 and EuroSkills in Düsseldorf in 2027.
The Ministry of Education and Universities has expressed its recognition of all participants, emphasising that their involvement in SpainSkills strengthens the visibility and prestige of Vocational Training in the Balearic Islands at national level.
