King Felipe and the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, held their customary summer office this morning at the Marivent Palace. The King received Sánchez on the steps leading up to the main building in Marivent, where they later held their summer working meeting. At the end of the meeting and Sánchez’s public appearance before the media, the two men were scheduled to have lunch together.
The King and Pedro Sánchez were scheduled to discuss issues relating to the current economic situation, the latest news on the Covid-19 pandemic, the state of the tourism situation, and the distribution of European funds.
Once the lunch in Marivent is over, the President of the Government is expected to travel to the Consolat de Mar, where he will hold a meeting with the President of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol. Armengol has already announced that she will ask Sánchez to ensure that the Balearic Islands receive greater European funds.
