This year a total of fifty letters will be delivered, which can be collected from the 13th to the 23rd of December.

Inca City Council has once again launched the solidarity initiative “Sponsor a letter”, to help ensure that no child in the city goes without a present for Christmas. Therefore, the aim of this campaign is that all children can enjoy the festivities and especially the Reis d’Orient and receive a small gift thanks to another family.

“For some time now, we have been launching this solidarity initiative, which has been very well received by the citizens of Inca. In just a few days, every year all the letters are sponsored. This highlights the character of solidarity that we all have, always ready to lend a hand to the neighbours who need it most”, explains the councillor of Social Rights, Maria Antònia Pons.

As every year, the Social Services team has worked with the most vulnerable families to jointly write the letter to the Reis d’Orient and give instructions to the parents. In this way, the social educators ensure that the children request a gift that they need and that will be of real use to them or allow them to share moments of leisure with the family.

The deadline for collecting a letter is from 13 to 23 December. To do this, interested parties can approach the Social Services area, located in the Quarter General Luque, or communicate by email at bnadal.esinca@studia6.com.Del 27 to 30 December, all those who have sponsored a letter must deliver the gifts, which the Kings will give to the children’s relatives.
