Public Health warning to people allergic or intolerant to milk due to the presence of this unlabelled allergen in the product “Torta de chocolate crujiente” of the brand “Dor”.

The Directorate-General for Public Health informs that the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has issued a warning to people allergic or intolerant to milk after the presence of this allergen, not declared on the label, has been detected in the product “Crunchy chocolate cake” of the commercial brand “Dor”. In the case of the Balearic Islands, this product was distributed through the Lidl supermarket chain.

Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it is recommended that all those people with milk allergy or intolerance who may have the aforementioned product in their homes refrain from consuming it. This product, in any case, does not pose any risk to the rest of the population.

The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) has been informed through the Coordinated Service for the Rapid Exchange of Information (SCIRI) of an alert notification sent by the health authorities of Catalonia, concerning the presence of milk not included in the labelling of this dark chocolate crisp cake.

The distribution company has displayed information posters on the recall of the product in its shops to inform the final consumer and is in the process of withdrawing the product.
