The new portal – which was presented this week by the Health Service’s care director, Eugènia Carandell – will allow access to health advice on COVID-19, make an appointment for a diagnostic test and even process sick leave in the event of being positive.

The website is based on four items in relation to the person’s situation:

-If you have symptoms compatible with COVID-19.

-If they have a positive diagnostic test.

-If you have been in contact with a person with COVID-19 and have no symptoms.

-If you have a negative diagnostic test result.

Depending on the situation, the person will in all cases receive appropriate health advice. In addition, he/she will be able to request a diagnostic test on the chosen day and at the chosen place, and in case of a positive test, he/she will be able to send a message to all possible close contacts to make an appointment for the diagnostic test as well.

In case of being considered as a vulnerable person, the affected person may request that a health professional, via telephone, follow him/her and assess his/her clinical situation.

Finally, in the event that the result of the diagnostic test is positive, the person concerned can directly request sick leave and will receive an e-mail with the health voucher to present to the company.

This website joins the different tools that the Health Service of the Balearic Islands has set up throughout the pandemic to make it easier for the public to manage and provide information. Some of these tools, in addition to the new management website, are BITCita to get an appointment for vaccinations, the website to obtain the COVID certificate or the QR for travel, or the Covid viewer.
