IBISEC awards the construction works of the new CEIP of Can Picafort

This is a project for a new building to be used as an infant and elementary school, which will have six units for infant education and twelve units for primary education. In addition, the new centre will be equipped with a classroom Specific Educational Unit of Ordinary Center (UEECO) with seven school places.

The new centre will consist of a first-floor building and two rectangular floors where the classrooms will be located. The administration, dining room and gymnasium block will be located perpendicular to the classroom building block and consist of a single floor, leaving a circulation space between the two that configures one of the accesses and communicates with the primary porch.

Reception of works

In addition, IBISEC has received this week the extension works of the CEIP Nadal Campaner Arrom of Costitx and the reform of the pavement of the playground of the CEIP Llevant of Inca.

In the case of the centre in Costitx, IBISEC has executed the extension of the existing building with a 77.02 square meter classroom on the second floor, just above the porch on the first floor. This new space can be divided into two classrooms of equal surface area by means of a movable partition that will allow each unit to function independently. The work has had a cost of 210,495.85 euros and has been financed by the Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and Territories of Europe (REACT-EU) fund within the framework of the Balearic Islands ERDF 2014-2020 funds as part of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, in the CEIP Llevant of Inca, this summer has been executed the reform of the pavement of the children’s playground. The action has consisted of the reform of the pavement, which was in poor condition, and has been replaced by one with a neat non-slip finish. The improvement has had a cost of 59,774 euros.
