Open the process of admission and enrollment to adult education

The Centres of Adult Education (CEPA) offer initial education, secondary education for adults (ESPA), preparation of free ESO tests and preparation of access tests to higher level training cycles and to the UIB for those over 25 years old. There are also language courses (preparation for Catalan, Spanish for foreigners, English, German, French and Italian) and computer courses, among others.

On the other hand, within the framework of the EOI-CEPA collaboration program, students from different CEPAs can prepare for the basic level tests of English (A1 and A2) and the A2 and B1 levels of Catalan that are taught in the official language schools (EOI). This will allow students to obtain the corresponding academic or level certificates.

In addition, in some CEPAs of the Balearic Islands, in collaboration with the SOIB, certificates of professionalism are taught and support and tutoring sessions are held to prepare and take in the same centre the tests of key competencies (mathematical competence, communication in Catalan, communication in Spanish and communication in a foreign language) with the aim of facilitating students’ access to level 2 and level 3 certificates of professionalism.

Also, five centers (CEPA Calvià, CEPA Francesc de Borja Moll, CEPA La Balanguera, CEPA Mancomunitat des Pla and CEPA Artà) offer the possibility of studying different medium and higher level training cycles of the professional families of Socio-Cultural and Community Services (SSC), Health (SAN), Graphic Arts (ARG) and Personal Image (IMP).

CEPA Network

The Balearic Islands currently have a total of 18 CEPA: 14 in Mallorca, 2 in Menorca and 2 in Ibiza. It should be noted that, in order to decentralize the adult education offer, there are about 40 classrooms in different parts of the islands, which are extensions of the CEPAs in each area thanks to the collaboration of several town councils.

Mallorca: CEPA Alcúdia, CEPA Amanecer (Palma), CEPA Artà, CEPA Calvià, CEPA Camp Rodó (Palma), CEPA Es Raiguer (Binissalem), CEPA Francesc de Borja Moll (Inca), CEPA La Balanguera (Palma), CEPA Llevant (Manacor), CEPA Mancomunitat del Pla (Vilafranca de Bonany), CEPA Sa Pobla, CEPA S’Arenal, CEPA Son Canals (Palma) and CEPA Sud (Campos).

Menorca: CEPA Ciutadella and CEPA Joan Mir i Mir (Maó).

Ibiza: CEPA Pitiüses (Eivissa) and CEPA Sant Antoni (Sant Antoni de Portmany).

ESPA in the IES

Three centres of the Balearic Islands also offer the possibility of taking the secondary education for adults (ESPA) which leads to the title of graduate in compulsory secondary education in the blended mode. These centres are IES Antoni Maura (Palma), IES Santa Maria d’Eivissa and IES Marc Ferrer (Sant Francesc Xavier, Formentera).
