Solidarity
The Consell de Mallorca organizes a food collection during the program of activities of Nadal a la Misericòrdia. From December 16 to 23, a series of family activities have been organized at the cultural center that will be combined with this solidarity initiative that has been launched together with ASIMA, FIBWI and RotarAct. The initiative begins this Saturday, December 16, with the living nativity scene of the Misericòrdia.
The vice-president of the Consell de Mallorca and councilor of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, encourages Mallorcans to experience Christmas at the Misericòrdia while contributing to a good cause. The aim is to collect non-perishable food and personal hygiene products that will go to the Tardor Association, an organization that seeks to alleviate the effects of poverty and social exclusion in Mallorca.
In addition, the week of collection will culminate on December 23 with a great solidarity chocolate, at 5 pm, in the gardens of the Misericòrdia, during the last Christmas concert, which will combine traditional choirs of adults and children with rock and gospel choirs.
