The Govern organises a tax conference to debate and clarify doubts about the Tax Regime regulation

Nearly 300 people have already confirmed their attendance at the event, which will take place on Thursday 25th in the afternoon at the Son Lledó assembly hall on the UIB campus.

The President, Marga Prohens, will close the conference, which will feature speakers who are experts in the field.

Tax conference to debate and clarify doubts about the Tax Regime regulation

The Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance and Innovation has organised a tax conference on Thursday 25th April to discuss the approval of the Regulations of the Special Tax Regime of the Balearic Islands and other current tax issues. The President of the Government, Marga Prohens, will close the conference, which will be held in the assembly hall of the Son Lledó building from 4 p.m. and will be attended by experts in the field.

More than 200 people have registered to attend this tax conference, which has the support of the Professional Association of Tax Technicians of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands (APTTCB) and the Spanish Federation of Professional Associations of Tax Technicians and Tax Advisors (FETTAF). In addition, the Regional Ministry has enjoyed the collaboration of the Association of Economists of the Balearic Islands, the Official Association of Commercial and Business Graduates of the Balearic Islands (COTME), the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF), the Official Association of Administrative Managers of the Balearic Islands, the Association of Lawyers of the Balearic Islands (ICAIB), the Balearic Islands Association of Tax Advisors (AEDAF), the Balearic Islands Association of Administrative Managers (ICAIB) and the Balearic Islands Association of Lawyers (ICAIB).

The vice-president of the Government, Antoni Costa, and the rector of the UIB, Jaume Carot, will open the day’s session and give way to the first presentation of the afternoon, in which the tax administrator of the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands (ATIB), Alberto Roibal, will explain the tax reform of Law 11/2023.

Afterwards, the president of the APTTCB, Joan Torres Torres, will present the paper “The TEAC and its resolutions, certainty and legal security”, by José Antonio Marco San Juan, president of the Central Economic Administrative Court (TEAC). After the snack, the presentation “The reference value, impact on regional taxation” will take place. First of all, the Deputy Director General for Valuation and Inspection, María Isabel García Vaquero, will speak on the fundamental aspects of the reference value. Next, the Deputy Director General of Cadastral Management, Collaboration and Citizen Services, Jesús Puebla Blasco, will introduce Luis Bachiller García, regional manager of the Cadastre in the Balearic Islands, who will explain the territorial implementation of the reference value in the Balearic Islands.

At 7 p.m., the tax inspector on leave of absence, economist and tax advisor Javier Monzón will present his paper “Accounting of the REIB”, followed by the Deputy Director General of Taxes on Legal Entities, Natalia Jaquotot Garre, who will explain the law and regulations of the REIB. Finally, the President of the Government, Marga Prohens, will close the event at 8.15 pm.
