Inca expands electric vehicle charging points
In this way, the City Council will cede municipal spaces for the installation and implementation of up to 22 fast charging points for electric vehicles for a maximum of 44 places. ‘We are taking another step forward in promoting sustainable mobility and extending services to citizens. Therefore, our goal is to respond to the needs of Inca’s citizens, as well as to create an optimal network of charging points that are managed efficiently,’ says the mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno.
Specifically, the tender envisages the installation of at least 7 new electric vehicle charging points, as well as the management and maintenance of the existing charging points. The new charging points will have to be fast charging and allow the simultaneous charging of two vehicles. In the existing charging points, the successful bidder of the contract will have to request an exclusive meter for the charging point and execute all the civil works, electrical installation and documentation necessary for the correct registration of the supply.
The new points will be located at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes, the Constancia sports ground car park, municipal swimming pools, Plaza del Mediterráneo, San Juan de Dios municipal park, Islas Baleares park, Plaza de la Font Vella and the Inca industrial estate.
