The Consell de Mallorca will earmark one million euros
The repair of the Almandrà path covers an approximate length of 2,550 metres, running from the bottling plant to the car park of the Tossals Verds refuge (annexed to the Son Ordines estate), which forms part of the network of refuges managed by the Consell de Mallorca.
The content of this project, which will be formalised using an agreement with the Alaró Town Council, includes the preliminary work, clearing and cleaning of the banks, preparation of the base and asphalting.
The second vice-president and councillor for the Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, said that this project is a response to ‘a historic demand of the Consell de Mallorca and the residents affected, who have been calling for the repair of the road for more than 25 years’.
Pedro Bestard also pointed out that ‘the repair of this path will also benefit the users of the Tossals Verds refuge, as hikers who access it by car will have a path in good condition to the car park’.
100,000 euros to repair the boats at sa Dragonera
On the other hand, 100,000 euros have also been set aside from surplus funds for the repair of two boats for internal use in the Natural Park of sa Dragonera, one outboard and the other semi-rigid.
These boats are used to transport personnel who work in the park, scientific personnel who come to this natural space to carry out research studies and monitor flora and fauna, and to transport workers from external companies who carry out maintenance work.
