1.5 M € to increase the hours of home care for dependent people in Palma

The Consell de Govern has authorised the Regional Minister of Families and Social Affairs to spend a maximum of €1,569,600 on the agreement with Trabajadoras Sociales de la Part Forana, Sociedad Cooperativa. This agreement is linked to the extension of the number of hours of the agreement for the home help service for dependent people in Palma.

The amount corresponds to the cost of the 60,000 hours of the home help service (SAD) agreed between 1 July 2024 and 30 September 2025. It will be distributed as follows: €523,200 for 20,000 hours of SAD from July to November 2024 and €1,046,400 for 40,000 hours of SAD from December 2024 to September 2025.

The increase in the amount is due to the need to increase the number of additional monthly hours to those already assigned to the entity and thus respond to the growing demand for the home help service, within the framework of the objective of deinstitutionalisation for people with dependency that the Conselleria has established
