The beneficiaries will be individual entrepreneurs whose second year in the RETA occurs between 1 January 2024 and 15 August 2024.

The deadline for submitting applications begins today, 22 July, and will end on 31 August 2024.

The Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, through the Directorate General for Enterprise, Self-Employment and Trade, has announced the ‘zero quota’ aid to offset the costs of the second year of contributions to the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers (RETA). The deadline for submitting applications begins today 22 July and will end on 31 August 2024, provided that the allocated credit has not been exhausted.

The deadline for applications for the new ‘zero quota’ call for contributions for self-employed workers in the second year of activity is now open

The total budget for this action is 500,000 euros and the amount of aid will be 80 euros per month for the twelve monthly payments that correspond to the second year in the RETA.

This second call for applications for the ‘zero quota’ programme is a continuation of the Government’s initiative to subsidise the first contributions made by entrepreneurs, to contribute to the consolidation of this group in their first years of activity.

The current line of aid is designed for entrepreneurs who started their activity one year ago and foresee that their net annual income during the second year will be less than the minimum interprofessional wage for one year.

This subsidy will be available to self-employed workers who enjoy the flat rate in their second year in the RETA, provided that this second year has started between 1 January 2024 and 15 August 2024; who, before accessing this regime, have been registered as job seekers, who are registered and carry out their business activity in the Balearic Islands, who can prove that they are entitled to the reduced quota or flat rate for self-employed workers and who are up to date with their obligations to the State and regional tax agencies, as well as with the Social Security.

Likewise, the beneficiaries must develop and maintain the activity that is the object of the subsidy, the initial registration in the RETA and the registration in the Census of Economic Activities of the State Tax Administration Agency, uninterruptedly, for a minimum of 24 months from the initial registration. Interruption of the activity between the first and second year of activity implies the reimbursement of the proportional part of the aid for the time of interruption.
