It should be remembered that last week there was a security incident at the GestIB that resulted in unauthorised access to personal data of GestIB users by unauthorised third parties, and the confidentiality of the data of those affected was compromised.
Subsequently, on 19 July, the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities notified the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) of the breach of security of the GestIB’s personal data, and the facts were reported to the National Police and the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN).
As soon as the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities became aware of the incident, extraordinary protective measures were taken and the corresponding complaints were filed.
The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities appeals to all GestIB users for peace of mind.
