The president of the Consell de Mallorca attends the Nit del Turisme gala in Menorca

The Councillor of Tourism, Marcial Rodríguez Díaz, also attended the event, where 19 awards were presented in seven different categories.

The president of the Consell de Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, attended the gala of the VIII Nit del Turisme 2024, which was held this year at the Convent de Sant Diego, in Alaior, Menorca, accompanied by the island’s councillor for Tourism, José Marcial Rodríguez Díaz.


During the event, at which the tourism prizes awarded by the Government of the Balearic Islands were presented, recognition was given to the actions in favour of tourism that have taken place in the archipelago in different areas: individuals, companies, organisations and institutions, both public and private.

These awards are intended to serve as an instrument to stimulate professional behaviour and initiatives that contribute to improving the tourist image of the Balearic Islands and their tourist services. Thus, during the gala, initiatives, proposals and actions that are committed to the viability, innovation and sustainability of the tourist product of the Islands were recognised, as well as actions that contribute to strengthening quality, the competitiveness of the tourism sector, entrepreneurship and the attractiveness of the Balearic Islands as a tourist destination. A total of 19 awards were presented in seven different categories.


The event was organised by the Balearic Islands Tourism Strategy Agency (AETIB), in collaboration with the Council of Menorca, and was attended by the President of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzá, as well as other authorities of the autonomous community.
