Education calls for tenders for the extension of Ses Estacions Secondary School in Palma
The project aims to provide IES Ses Estacions with the necessary space to offer new studies, including Basic Vocational Training in Administrative Services, the Intermediate Degree in Administrative Management, the Higher Degree in Administration and Finance and the Higher Degree in Management Assistance. This extension will also relieve the student load in the existing ESO and Bachillerato classrooms.
The extension consists of a new volume of the ground floor and two additional floors located next to the original L-shaped high school building on the corner of Carrer Marquès de la Fontsanta and Carrer Margalida Caimari, while the gymnasium is located in another building facing Carrer Vinyassa. The new building will extend along Carrer Margalida Caimari to Carrer Bisbe Joan Maura and is designed to work in conjunction with the existing structure, with communication corridors connecting the floors and adapting the differences in level using accessible stairs and ramps.
