The insular institution offers specialised courses in the application for grants through electronic procedures addressed to representatives of associations.
The Consell de Mallorca has opened the period to apply for grants for 2025, aimed at non-profit associations and federations of elderly people. These grants aim to promote actions that encourage active and healthy ageing, promote associations and social integration in the community, as well as offer leisure spaces adapted to the interests and expectations of the group.
The Minister of the Presidency, Antoni Fuster, stressed that ‘our commitment to our elderly people translates into decisive support for the associations and federations that work every day to improve their quality of life’. He also stressed the importance of promoting tools that facilitate the work of these organisations, thus strengthening their impact on the community.

The associations and federations of elderly people can already apply for grants from the Consell de Mallorca
This year, the institution has increased the budget earmarked for these subsidies to 2,065,000 euros, consolidating its commitment to the elderly and adapting to the growing needs of the group. The budget is divided into two main lines: one for associations and the other for federations.
The applications can be presented within 15 working days. The documentation must be processed through the Electronic Headquarters of the Consell de Mallorca. To solve doubts, the entities can contact the Service of Sociocultural Promotion and Associations, by calling to the telephone number 697 100 346 or they can attend in person to the sociocultural centres of Manacor and Inca.
To make it easier to understand the call for applications and the necessary procedures, the Consell has organised informative meetings in Palma, Manacor and Inca, aimed at interested associations and federations. These sessions will explain the details of the subsidies and the application procedure. In addition, on the same day as the meetings, those attending will be able to register for a free practical course on the electronic processing of grants, which will be given at the corresponding centres.
The workshop aims to train association representatives in key digital skills, such as the use of electronic signatures, the conversion of documents to PDF format and the management of documents on the Consell’s website. Each participant must bring their laptop and have an electronic signature.
