Throughout the first day of the international tourism fair, Fitur 2025, which begins today in Madrid, the president of the Consell Insular de Eivissa and head of the Department of Tourism Promotion, Vicent Marí, stressed the importance of the national market for Ibiza, as a ‘loyal market that loves the island and enjoys the varied and wide-ranging offer we have’, and he pointed out that we must take advantage of this loyalty ‘to convince the national visitor to also travel to the island in the off-season months when the sporting, family and cultural offer is increasingly powerful’.

President Vicent Marí stresses at Fitur the need to extend the season with a balance ‘between tourists and residents’
Marí stressed the need to extend the season in the spring and autumn months, to take pressure off the central summer months, ‘always to seek a balance between tourists and residents’. ‘We have to extend the season to avoid saturation in the summer and we must do this with responsible work by all of us, to offer an island that is a place where everyone can enjoy their holidays’.
The national market stands out for choosing short stays in Ibiza, two, three or four days at the most, and the Consell Insular’s goal is to get people to stay longer.
Throughout this first day, the president, Vicent Marí, has maintained an intense agenda of meetings with different representatives of the tourism sector and has participated in the presentation, at the Turespaña stand, of the Spain Convention Bureau.
