The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has published the ‘Statistics on Public University Prices’, which shows that the average price of undergraduate degrees at Spanish public universities in the academic year 2024-25 is the lowest in the historical series, 25.5% less than in 2014-15.
Specifically, in the current academic year, the average price of undergraduate degrees in first enrolment has experienced a decrease of 5.26 euros per credit compared to 2014-15.
According to the statistics, the lowest average prices per credit are in Galicia (11.95 euros), Asturias (12.34 euros), the Canary Islands (12.5 euros) and Andalusia (12.62 euros).

The price of undergraduate degrees at public universities in the academic year 2024-25 is the lowest in history
On the other hand, the highest average prices in degrees per credit are concentrated in the Autonomous Community of Navarre (19.29 euros), the Community of Madrid (18.55 euros) and Catalonia (18.15 euros).
By fields of study, the highest average price corresponds to Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science, Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Veterinary Science, and Engineering, Industry and Construction.
Average price of Master’s degrees that qualify for or are linked to a regulated profession
In addition, the average price of first enrolment in first enrolment for Master’s degrees that qualify for or are linked to a regulated profession has fallen in recent years, from 30.39 euros per credit in the 2014-15 academic year to 15.76 euros per credit in the 2024-2025 academic year, which represents a reduction of around 48%.
The distribution by Autonomous Community shows that the highest first enrolment fees for the most qualifying Master’s degrees or those linked to a regulated profession are in the Autonomous Community of Navarre and the Autonomous Community of Madrid, with 20.2 and 18.76 euros per credit, respectively.
Qualifying Master’s degrees include those related to general health psychology, civil engineering, canals and ports, mining, industrial, aeronautical, agricultural, forestry, naval and oceanic, telecommunications, architecture and law, among others.
Average price for first enrolment in Master’s degrees that do not qualify for or are not linked to a regulated profession
In the academic year 2024-2025, the average price of first enrolment for first enrolment in master’s degrees that are neither qualifying nor linked to a regulated profession is 30.04 euros per credit, which represents a decrease of 13.84 euros concerning the academic year 2014-2015 (31.5% less).
According to the statistics, the Community of Madrid has the highest prices per credit for this type of degree. The lowest prices per credit are found in Galicia, the Canary Islands and Andalusia.
