8,506,786.31 euros authorised for the creation of places for children aged 0 to 3 years old

The Regional Ministry of Education and Universities reinforces its commitment to the expansion of this aid, extending the call for applications by 5,509,686.31 euros to guarantee coverage of the applications received, provided that the requirements are met. The aim is to create up to 1,189 new expansion places and 203 conversion places for children from 0 to 3 years old before 2027. In annual instalments, the Government of the Balearic Islands allocates 3 million euros for 2025, 2.5 million for 2026 and 3,006,786.31 euros for 2027.

Through this call, the Regional Ministry of Education and Universities will subsidise the creation of new places with up to 6,300 euros per place in authorised centres and up to 5,000 euros per place in centres not yet authorised. Once the corresponding actions have been completed, all participating centres must obtain educational authorisation from the Regional Ministry and apply to subscribe to the educational agreement for these units.

With this initiative, the Government of the Balearic Islands reaffirms its commitment to expanding the educational offer for children from 0 to 3 years of age, guaranteeing that free education at this stage reaches the families who need it most.
