The Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears (CSMIB), dependent on the Conselleria de Educació i Universitats, is organising two academic concerts for charity on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th February at 8:00 pm in the Conservatori’s auditorium. These concerts are part of the school’s educational activities and aim to offer students a professional performance experience and contribute to a charitable cause.
The concert on Friday 14th February will be an academic recital by the CSMIB Big Band, conducted by Sergi Vergés, which will perform a varied repertoire with works by renowned composers such as Akiyoshi, Clayton, Foster, Herbolzheimer, Jones, McNeely and Nestico. This concert will allow the students to showcase their talent and the work developed during the course, while simultaneously joining the solidarity initiative to benefit the Fundació Vicente Ferrer.

The Conservatori Superior de Música de las Illes Balears organises two academic concerts with a charitable purpose
On Saturday 15 February, the second benefit concert will take place, featuring the Orquestra Simfònica del CSMIB, conducted by the prestigious Aurel Dawidiuk. The programme will include works by Montsalvatge, Debussy and Tchaikovsky. In addition, the soloists will be Pau Cladera, on piano, and Julia [u1] Valera, on clarinet, winners of the last CSMIB soloists’ competition. This concert will also aim to raise funds for the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, an organisation committed to improving living conditions in the most disadvantaged areas of India.
Tickets for the concerts are already available on the CSMIB website. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of music while contributing to a charitable cause in support of the Fundació Vicente Ferrer.
