60 students complete six projects of the Mixed Programmes SOIB of Training and Employment in the Town Hall of Calvià

To execute the programme, the SOIB has granted the Calvià Town Hall a total of 1.384.544,16€.

They combine training and occupation in two modalities: SOIB Youth for people under 30 years old and SOIB 30 aimed at people over 30 years old.

The director of SOIB, María de la Luz Moreno, attended today the closing ceremony of the six mixed projects of Training and Occupation at the Institute of Training and Occupation of Calvià (IFOC), which have allowed 60 people to take up jobs as student workers of the Calvià Town Hall. Juan Antonio Amengual, mayor of the Calvià Town Hall and Raquel Fernández, manager of the IFOC, have also participated in the closing ceremony.

60 students complete six projects of the Mixed Programmes SOIB of Training and Employment in the Town Hall of Calvià

During 12 months they have worked in different departments of the Town Hall, thanks to the management of the programmes that combine training and occupation in its two modalities: SOIB Youth for under 30 years old beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee programme and SOIB 30 aimed at people over 30 years old, all of them unemployed.

María de la Luz Moreno, director of the SOIB has highlighted: ‘these programmes combine work and training to improve the employment of the participants while acquiring new professional skills’.

To execute these six projects the SOIB has granted the Calvià Town Hall a total of 1.384.544,16€: 695.472,08€ (SOIB Youth) and 689.072,08€ (SOIB 30), the first one corresponds to the subsidy granted by the SOIB with the participation of the State Public Employment Service SEPE and co-financed by the European Fund ESF+ and the second one corresponds to the subsidy granted by the SOIB through the Sectorial Conference of Employment and Labour Affairs.

The completed programmes are:

SOIB Youth Training and Employment Mixed Projects

Lignum: specialities in auxiliary activities in forest exploitation and auxiliary activities in mountain conservation and improvement.

Montibus: a project in which the level 2 certificate of professionalism in guiding on low and medium mountain itineraries has been taught, complemented with level A1 English.

Ludus: professional certificates in physical conditioning in a multi-purpose training room and lifeguarding in aquatic facilities.

Mixed SOIB 30 Training and Occupation Projects

Topiarium: certificate of auxiliary activities in nurseries, gardens and garden centres and the level 2 certificate in gardening, called garden installation.

Cellarium: professional certificates for auxiliary activities in agriculture and auxiliary activities in mountain conservation and improvement.

Ratio: certificate of professionalism in administrative activities in customer relations.

In the call for Joint SOIB Training and Employment Programmes, the Balearic Islands Employment Service has granted a total of €11,298,498.75 for the SOIB Youth and SOIB 30 lines to 22 entities in the community.
