This initiative is named after the creator of the first school for dolls in the capital of Raiguer.
Inca City Council is once again committed to equality policies and is consolidating the ‘Severa de Madariaga’ training project, in honour of the adopted daughter of Inca who pioneered the creation of the first school for dolls in 1900. This programme offers a series of training courses and workshops to raise awareness of gender inequality.

Inca promotes a new edition of the Severa de Madariaga Training Project
Thus, between February and December, a total of nine workshops and training sessions will be held in Inca that will address key feminist themes, from the most basic concepts to more advanced issues, such as new masculinities. On the other hand, in addition to promoting reflection on gender equality, the aim is also to provide professional training for detecting and dealing with situations of gender-based violence.
‘This project seeks to generate a space for debate and learning to build a fairer and more equitable society. This programme is designed so that anyone can participate and find useful tools for their daily lives. It is an opportunity to grow, share experiences and move towards a more egalitarian society,’ says Maria del Carmen Oses, Councillor for Equality.
